I teach French in Bangkok and online. When a lesson keeps failing for the same reason and no app on the market fixes it, I build the fix myself. This is what came out of that — real software, used in real lessons, built by someone who was never trained as an engineer.

What I have shipped

Two tools, both born in a classroom

Neither of these started as a business idea. Both started as a problem I had on a Tuesday evening, with a student who deserved better than what I could give them with a photocopier.

Fifty minutes a week is not enough to learn a language, and I could not keep pretending it was. My students left class motivated on Tuesday and came back on the following Tuesday having touched no French in between. The homework I photocopied never solved it.

So I built the thing that had to exist: short daily exercises, listening you can shadow the way we do in class, and vocabulary that comes back just before you would have forgotten it. Ten minutes, on a phone, on the BTS.

It started as a private tool for my own students. It is now the platform every one of them gets for free with their lessons — and the reason I stopped assigning photocopies.

The best listening material for a French learner is not a textbook recording. It is two actors talking too fast, swallowing half the syllables, using slang no course will teach you. The problem is that a raw scene is unusable in class — too fast, no support, and the subtitles you find online are either wrong or in the wrong language.

Submyclip does the boring part. You point it at a scene, and it comes back with a clip carrying both languages at once, timed to the actual speech rather than to a subtitle file someone guessed at.

I built it because I was doing this by hand, one scene at a time, for my own lessons and my YouTube channel. It took an evening per clip. Now it does not.

Three rules I do not break

I build for one classroom first

Mine. Every tool here started because a lesson was not working and no product on the market fixed it. If it does not survive contact with my own students, it does not ship.

Boring problems, honestly solved

No AI tutor that pretends to replace a teacher. The software takes the repetitive half — the drilling, the timing, the editing — and leaves the teaching to the human.

I am not a trained engineer

I am a French teacher who learned to build. That is the whole point of the Instagram: showing what a teacher can actually make now, without a computer science degree behind them.
